Why Are You Constantly Tired?

There are many reasons why you are always dragging and feel constantly tired. It could be that you have a medical condition that robs you of your energy and strength, but most of the time, it is that you are not getting enough of something that you need. When you do not have energy, you do not end up doing much and you may be missing out on your life. Take some time to figure out why you are drained of energy and see what you can do to turn things around. If you can't, you may want to see a doctor.

One reason why you may be constantly tired is pretty obvious. If you are not sleeping enough at night you are not going to function well during the day. You may not realize this, but your body does a lot of important things when you sleep. If you are not getting enough sleep or you are waking up too often when in bed, these things can not happen. Your body rebuilds from damage of the day, and it also grows when need be. Your brain files away everything you learned, which also makes sleep important. Get more if you are tired all of the time and see if that helps. An hour more may be all you need to feel better each day.

You may not be eating right if you are constantly tired. One thing may not have seem to be related to the other but this is often the reason why some people can not seem to gather any energy during the day. If your body is not getting what it needs to function, it simply won't want to cooperate no matter what you do. You can do a few things to reverse this problem. One would be to take a multi-vitamin each day and the other would be to eat more varied meals. Include good foods that you know you should be eating and cut back on those fast food or high calorie but less nutritional choices you may have been making.

A lack of exercise can also be a problem if you are always feeling tired and worn out. You have to expend energy to exercise, so you may think that this will not help when you are feeling constantly tired. It does not work that way, actually, and those that go for a walk or find some way to sneak in some exercise often feel energized later in the day and have more energy for whatever it is that they want to do. They also find that they sleep better and longer, which also helps with the problem of feeling tired and listless all of the time.

If you have tried all of the above ideas but you feel as if you have not gotten any better and you are still constantly tired and drained of energy, you may want to see what your doctor has to say. There are a few conditions like chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia that leave the patient feeling tired and run down all of the time no matter what they try. You may have one of these conditions and you may not get relief unless you have a doctor help you.
